Enterprise leaves ALEC

Date: 23 SEPT 2016posted by Car Rentaledited by WinX

ALEC stands for American Legislative Exchange Council. It is a network of lawmakers, researchers and business leaders that advocates limited government and free markets. Enterprise withdrawing its membership is the result of a month long campaign conducted online and in social media by labor, environmental and other left-leaning groups. Enterprise Holdings is the parent company of Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental, Alamo Rent A Car and Enterprise CarShare, a company that has project in the car rental service industry. Opponents of ALEC accuse the organization of being a "denier" of man-made climate change. Groups such as MoveOn.org, Climate Truth, Color of Change and Stand Up to ALEC were all a part of the campaign.
