Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa achieved a record-breaking month in August, with the highest number of Ford Rangers exported to date. The Ranger, assembled at Ford's Silverton Assembly Plant in Pretoria, exported a total of 8548 vehicles to markets in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Ford retailed a total of 5473 vehicles locally for the month, which complemented the record-breaking exports. The Ford Ranger remains the second best-selling pick up in the light commercial vehicle segment, with a total of 2237 vehicles sold in August.
